Hointers got the perfect solution for your shopping discomfort! Whether it is digging through piles to find a size, standing naked in the dressing room waiting for assistance, approaching retail staff for information, and basically all the human interaction you are not in the mood for.

Can you actually get both the excitement and ease in shopping?
Through identifying what customers want and don’t want, Hointer is here to spice up your shopping experience by merging the best of the physical and digital universe. Offering you the best of both worlds from online and offline, with your smart phones/gadgets being the remote control. You’ll get the speed, convenience, and also a good fit & material of products.
The fusion of technology and traditional shopping experience is surprisingly an efficient way not only for the customers, but also to the businesses in terms of in-store cost structure, inventory allocation and reducing labour costs.

Behind the great invention of Hointer is the talented Ph.D. Dr Nadia Shouraboura from Princeton University. Go to their website to find out more, or even use their service for your business 😉
I think this system is very unique and definitely a real stepping stone in the evolution of retail shopping. Not to mention, it takes approximately 4 weeks to install from e-Tag to Whoosh, which i would say is a reasonable time. I am definitely looking forward to this experience and hope more retail stores would implement this digital improvement both for high-end and low-end products, with maybe little touch ups such as, in high-end product stores, there is a “request for human assistance” feature. What do you guys think?

I think it would have been interesting to talk a bit more about the Whoosh Feature. It seems very appropriate to the digital marketing topic but am wondering how the technology behind it works.. 🙂

Hi sophschmitz! I agree, I think the whoosh feature will definitely spice up the customer journey! So the whoosh feature is very interesting…
They will drop your desired products to try on to the fitting room in 30 seconds, then both their algorithms and sales associates add matching items to fitting rooms to increase sales. A wall-installed tablet is also displayed for relevant media and product information. Then, when customers toss items down the chute, items are instantly removed from customers’ shopping carts, supporting a one-click mobile checkout.

Super interesting idea and would definitely save heaps of time trying to find the right size pants or shirts! I think the option to have human assistance would be super useful too! Great post!

The features are really helpful, since I am living far away from the shopping centre, it would be great to save time of finding right size of the clothes !
